Launching new international website

What started as an initiative of 5 universities in the Netherlands grew into a network of nearly 20 knowledge institutions in Belgium and the Netherlands. During the seminar The future of Retail on September 21, 2022, the ambitions of the platform for the coming years were communicated and one of them is to strengthen our international cooperation. One way we are doing this is by launching this new international website.

20 universities, 50 researchers, 5 research communities
The new website shows the international cooperation within 20 universities in the Benelux, focused on research (and education) about retail innovation. With more than 50 researchers we collaborate in research communities that each tackle challenges from their unique perspective on specific retail themes. These themes reflect the challenges the retail sector is currently facing.

Academic and applied research
The insights that emerge from our research can be applied by retailers in their strategy and used to realise innovations. On this website you can find all retail related academic articles published by researchers connected to the platform. The practical knowledge that arise from applied research, such as practical tools, reports, interactive dashboards, digizines, blogs or podcasts are mainly written in Dutch. You can find these publications on our Retail Insiders partner page.

Call for researchers
The platform is always looking for new researchers in the field of retail, or affiliated with the retail sector. Together with many other researchers we can join forces and work on a broader scope of research together on the challenges the retail sector faces today. Check out our research communities to see which topic suits you or your university best.

Together we make the difference
Not only researchers, but also students, retailers and partners are of great importance to our network and studies. Together we explore what retailers need and develop practical knowledge to help them innovate. We offer different types of research to help with all kinds of retail challenges. Find out more.
