Innovating retail education

The retail sector is changing, and so are the people who work in it. New people with different kinds of talents are being offered opportunities. The shifts from physical to omnichannel retail, data-driven marketing and experiential shopping are creating a need for new skills among entrepreneurs, managers and employees at all levels.

Which competences can help us build the sector’s human capital for tomorrow? What new skills do we need and which new and smart learning tools can we use to develop them? How can we mobilise existing talent? How can the sector improve its appeal to people with new talents in fields such as ICT and design?

These important questions can be answered through further research in this area.
